Question #1:

Is there any forums on the Internet for self-improvement?

I want a Internet forum whether they are brutal and criticize you in every move that you make. Their harshness forces you to grow and improve your self.

Question #2:

Immature Personality Disorder (IDP) Treatment Please...?

Hi Everyone...

I want some ways to minimize or remove Immature Personality Disorder, which makes a adult person behave like a children. Any such kinds of forums or discussions which contains the therapies or self improvement process which can help in healing such disorder. I cant go to any psychiatrist now because of some personal reasons, so please it would be very helpful if u give such ways of treatment or any kind of help which can reduce such disorder.....

Thank you very much....have a nice day :)

Question #3:

Does this sound like a decent Inuyasha OC to you? Tips on improvement, please?

I need some feedback on my Inuyasha OC (from a fanfiction I'm writing *cringes inside* - yes, I know most fanfictions suck - mine's probably no exception) Akiko. I put this up on a forum on fanfiction.net, and haven't gotten any feedback yet. I figured I might as well try here, too.

I apoligize in advance for how long her profile is, and if you can read through the whole thing and not want to brick me, you're a trooper. Read away and write whatever comes into your head (even if it's flaming criticism, that's fine, too). I just need people to tear her apart, PLEASE! And yes, I'm one of those desperate author types. I crave feedback - positive or negative, I need it.

Name: Akiko (she doesn't have a family name)

Age: 200 (however, she has the physical and emotional age of a 17 year-old)

Gender: Female

Species: Inu-hanyou

Height: 5'6" (including ears, which are about 2" high)

Weight: 115 lbs. (but she gains 20 pounds about half-way through the story, and has a hard time taking said weight off)

Residence: An old, abandoned hut at the edge of a small village in Kamakura / Muromachi era Honshu, Japan. Later, with Kouga's tribe, in their extensive system of caverns that serves as their den.

Religion: None (I suppose if I have to put something here, I'll put Shinto, but she doesn't really believe it--"when have the gods actually helped her??")

Appearance: She has very sunburned skin that is covered in calluses and corns--especially on her hands and the bottoms of her feet. It is very rough due to her long work under a Feudal lord (essentially as his personal guard and war-machine) and to working in the fields for a time (as her mother did.) She has long white hair with silver-ish highlights worn down. Aikta ears are present atop her head. Her pupils are split (like in my first profile) and amber/brown-colored; they contract and expand with increasing exposure to light, like a cat's. She has claws that are sharp, as well as fangs in place of all four canine teeth that are sharper than they appear.

Clothing: She wears a plain faded blue kimono that doesn't quite fit right and a "wrap" (essentially, what the peasant women in InuYasha wear, but without the head-cover). She has a single fine kimono, but it is really not appropriate for everyday wear, as it was left over from her time as an oiran - the only one she didn't sell to pay back the debt accumulated from buying them... (Oirans must pay for their own garments) She is barefoot.

Personality: She is extremely greedy, and is very selfish and self-centered. Although typically not a coward, her sense of self-preservation is strong and sometimes overrides her need to impress upon others that she is not to be toyed with. She is belligerent, rude, and boastful. She can be kind, but is typically only so when it poses some benefit for her. At times, she is cruel to others of the same groups that she is caring towards, for real (or imagined) slights on her character. When she is caught off-guard or when there is no one else around, she is softer and less argumentative. She scorns people who use or mistreat others for their own gain (I would call this throwing stones in a glass house, except for the fact that while she may use others unscrupulously to further her own ambitions, she doesn't treat them with contempt.)

Skills: (copied from my own - almost finished! - character development form for Akiko, which I found at: Click Here ) Fighting, evasion, weapons handling, lying, dressing wounds (eventually), theft, lying, breaking-and-entering, running long distances, um… making herself desirable to others*, cooking.

Likes: Sake (drinks far too much, and often makes bad choices while drinking), a warm fire and decent food, money (oh, so much), Kouga (she marries him, but the liking him for anything other than...*cough, AHEM*...takes quite a while), dog treats.

Dislikes: Bad food, cold weather, Inagi - intensely (my antagonist, who lives in Kouga's tribe - more about him later), coming away empty-handed, being used by others for their own gain (ironically, she does this to others - like Kouga), modern music, reading and writing (she is illiterate, but eventually learns to read and write her name and her daughter's name), having to wait for anything / anyone, having to be patient, sitting around doing nothing (she is a busy-body and gets bored easily).

Bio: She grew up with Inuyasha and their mother, Izayoi, in a small hut at the very edge of their village. When their mother died, at the rough age of five, their hut was burned down, and the pair was forced into the forest outside of the village boundaries. Alone and angry, they turn to stealing to make a living. Several decades later, at the age of eleven, Akiko steals from the local lord, Mishima, but is caught. Instead of being killed, she is offered a job, as his personal guard - he also offers her and her brother an apartm

Question #4:

Does age and a loss necessarily make a fighter damaged goods (i.e Barrera, Hatton, Cotto et al.).?

I know its a bit of a rhetoric question. But the obvious reason why I am asking is that many self-proclaimed boxing experts on and off this forum insist that Manny Pacquiao is simply fighting opponents who are on the decline, either because of age or because of the defeat they previously suffered before facing Manny. Now before you all say I dont know anything about the sport (as that is the most common stereotype thrown at Pacquiao fans), please read my analysis first then offer yours.

1.) Barrera.- Yeah sure Barrera was a lot older than Manny. But remember that Manny was a heavy underdog in the first fight. Barrera in fact just came from a series of victories and was considered the king of the featherweight Division at that time. He was even the first to give Hamed and Morales their defeats. When Manny Pummeled him, it came quite of a shock to the world. But after that loss, Barrera rebounded again by winning the trilogy with morales and having a couple of successful defenses of his 130 title.

2.) Morales- Morales is not actually that old as some people like to think. Manny is 31, and Morales is 33. Nobody said he was washed up when he won the first fight with Pacquiao, not even after he lost to raheem. In fact they even said that morales usually comes back strong after a defeat. Prime or no prime, wasnt he still one of the best that the 130 division had to offer?

3.) De la Hoya- Yeah I would agree that he was already over the hill on this one. But wasnt De la Hoya who offered to fight Manny at 147? Manny never even imagined that hed ever have to fight his idol. But when Manny won, people started saying that he dragged De la Hoya to that weight so he could beat him easy. For christ sake, De la Hoya tried to revive his career by fighting a big name who was smaller than him. He did that so he would not have to fight Margarito or Cotto. He would have fought a much smaller hatton if it wasnt for a conflict of schedule.

4.) Hatton- Hatton only suffered a loss to the top pound for pound king at that time. He even tried to improve his game by changing his head trainer, and as some experts say he did show some improvement during the Malignaggi fight. Hatton was the same age as Pacquiao, he was at a division where he was always comfortable, and he was the consensus best junior lightweight in the world.

5.) Cotto- People say Cotto changed after that Margarito fight, he wasnt as aggressive as he used to be. So does that necessarily mean he was on the decline? Or did it simply mean he was attempting to improve his game defensively because he already learned the consequences of taking uncalculated risks as any fighter should? Yeah Clottey almost won that fight, but what was impressive is that Cotto was able to keep it together while having a bad cut on his eye that affected his vision. If it was a mediocre fighter who was in Cottos shoes that time, they would have already been knocked out easy.

Now before you people say, I am a typical Pacquiao fan who only watches boxing when he is in it, lets consider other fighters in the history of the sport.

1.) Muhammad Ali- Everyone thought his skills was diminished for laying of for about 3 or 4 years and losing to Joe Frazier. But did he not rebound as a better fighter after that? Especially with the way he beat Foreman, who beat Frazier? Many even thought Thrilla in Manila would not live up to the hype because both fighters at the time were aging. But we all know now the historical significance of that fight.

2.) Bernard Hopkins. Heck this guy lost his first professional fight, but he later on would become one of the best middleweight champs in history. Many thought he was done when he lost back to back to Taylor, but he would later on had a successful campaign in the light heavyweight division. Hopkins is still on top, but where is taylor now?

3.) Larry Holmes. Yeah I know he lost bad to Iron mike, but before mike ruled the heavyweight division, this guy was an old man who was beating younger champions. Dont know why he is so underrated.

4.) George Foreman- Oldest man to win a heavyweight title. Need I say more?

5.) Evander Holyfield- A heavy underdog in the first Tyson fight. Manny thought he already was washed up, and shocked the world by becoming the second man to knock out Iron Mike.

the list goes on, but I think those I have mentioned are enough to make my point.

I really dont know why some self-proclaimed boxing experts (calling Manuel Perez) would rather look at it that Mannys opponent had bad nights, when in fact its simply because Manny is having a string of good nights.

Question #5:

How I Feel About Pacquiao. (It's a little long.)ToughGuy2, Mark W Please Answer.?

Pacquiao is the biggest thing to ever come out of the Philippines. He is THE fighter to watch. Every fight of Pacquiao is full of nonstop action. It's easy to understand why the hopes of his nation rest on his shoulders. He represents the hard work and pride of all the Filipino people.

However, (Im going to quote Emmanuel Steward) "Manny is flawed in his boxing ability and his style is wild, if he fights a true boxer again like he fought against Marquez they'll give him problems every time." Manny is often off balance after he throws his devastating left hand (He brings his leg around when he throws his left) and he gets hit a lot, hardly the qualities of a "Great" fighter. Even with his improvement, I don't put him in the same sentence with guys like Henry Armstrong, Duran, and Robinson.

Fights with Morales and Barrera:
In my opinion, Pacquiao is not a better boxer than Morales or Barrera

VS Morales. In their first fight when Eric actually BOXED instead of getting into a all guts out war with Manny as in their second fight. When Eric BOXED and moved Manny backwards, Manny was lost because he can not fight going backwards, he has also had a hard time with a fighter that moves and shoots angles. Manny likes to fight fighters that stand directly in front of him and exchange bombs. Eric's first fight with Manny, he fought the right fight and kept Manny at the end of his punches and caught the often off balanced Pacquiao with counter punches. when Manny throws his powerful left hand he always puts himself squared up and Eric made him pay for it. In their second fight it was not only Manny beating up on Eric, it was Eric's body beating up on it's self from cutting almost 40 pounds in two months and a battle with the scale for the past six years. Don't forget Morales was about 5 or 6 years out his prime.

VS Barrera. Maybe it's just me, but I believe Manny fought and beat a very battle worn Barrera. Did anyone actually want a rematch between these two? Why a rematch with Barrera and not Marquez? Some say money, but Pacquiao and his people were being greedy offering Marquez a hideous deal, and Mr. Beristain doesn't accept a BS offer since he is a very difficult person to work with.

VS Marquez. Marquez was in his prime got knocked down three times and comes back to get a draw. Who gave the performance of the decade at that time, Pacquiao or Marquez?
Many ringside observers had the fight in Marquez favor.
The Rematch. Controversial decision. Respected boxing commentators like Bob Sugar, Bob Pappa, Dan Rafael, and Max Kellerman had Marquez winning. Instead of wanting a third fight Pacquiao goes on and fights David Diaz. Like you say history will record Pacquiao as the winner and not Marquez. I guess people still believe Chavez deserved a draw against Pernell Whitaker and De La Hoya truly beat Felix Sturm.

With all honestly, I never considered Hatton to be a great fighter. He had trouble with Lazcano, Urango and IMO lost to Collazo. He should have retired before he even faced Mayweather. And De La Hoya was a dead man fighting at 147. But I was happy Pacquiao made De La Hoya quit. I feel many people are overrating his performances in his last two fights.

They talk about Pacquiao making history being the only fighter to ever be a champion in 7 weight divisions. Don't forget the days where we used to have 8 weight divisions and only 8 champions. Guys like Sugar Ray Robinson, Henry Armstrong, or Roberto Duran didn't enjoy the advantages of having 17 weight divisions. So, being a champion in so many weight divisions honestly doesn't mean much to me.

I may be sounding like a Pacquiao hater, but this is my honest opinion.

Do I make Valid or Reasonable Points?

FORGET ALL THE INSULTS AND NAME CALLING, IF YOU ARE GOING TO RESPOND, BE A LITTLE OPEN MINDED.

PLEASE NO INSULTS.

I'm not expecting much from the Pacquiao crowd in this forum, I'm hoping guys like toughguy2, Mark W, Galactus, and some of the regulars that actually know what they are talking about when it comes to boxing to respond to this.
WOW, really good answer Aphatetic.
And Thank You for answering.
I just wanted to give my thoughts. I admit it does sound bias, but I believe the reasoning is not out of this world, and it does make some sense.
But you can't deny that Morales had problems making 130.
Very good answer.
and he wanted to come back and fight Marquez. lol
Good Point August.

Question #6:

Why are people on this site so NASTY?

Everytime I post a question, I always without fail get someone calling me names, making all kinds of judgements about me, or accusing me of making up stories.

I asked about improving prison conditions and just segregating all prisons to separate cells so an inmate could actually go to prison, serve his time, and leave without having to be worried about being either murdered or sexually assaulted. I stated that I thought prison should be about rehabilitation and self improvement--not survival. Someone said, "Okay, so you're saying you want all prisoners to be treated to a hot bubble jacuzzi in prison, T-bone steaks and caviar, HBO movies, massages, and room service at the ring of a bell. Grow the f*ck up, you stupid f*cking (2 lines of profanities and insults)!" Ironically, when I looked at one of questions, he legitimately became upset with another user that insulted him.

I asked a question about traveling to a particular country, and mentioned that I had previously traveled to 9 different countries in my life. Someone wrote, "For a grown man, you sure do have a big imagination. Don't you have better things to do than sit online and make up stories that aren't true just to impress yourself?"

I've COMPLETELY stopped asking for advice in the parenting section because always without fail I get a "You're this and that, and you don't deserve to have children!" type of answer.

WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE ON HERE?

When I answer someone's question, I speak in a manner that I know I want to be spoken to. If I think someone is not being totally honest, or if the story sounds far fetched, I first CHECK THE PROFILE to see if the person has a low number points below 75 and then either NOT ANSWER or begin my answer with "If what you are saying is true..."

If I think someone is in the wrong, I say "I don't think that doing xxx or saying xxx was the smartest choice. You might want to take a look at yourself and your attitude first."

Why can't people deliver the same respect they would like to be treated with? Is this a forum where everyone takes their hostilities out on each other? I'm at a point where I'm just going to stick strictly to answering questions!
Amazingly intelligent: You definitely sound "amazingly intelligent"....thanks! I do feel a little better :)
Sparrow: No, I don't post silly questions. They are usually political, or about things I really need advice about. Unlike a lot of people I've encountered here, I don't need to post questions to the tune of "Does this girl like me" or "Is she pregnant" just because I have nothing to else to do.

As far as the parenting bit goes...I once asked a question about my daughter being depressed because I moved us to a different city for a new job offer. Someone told me I had no right to "turn her life upside down" like that without asking her consent, that I was selfish, and didn't deserve to be a parent. And you're saying I need to take a look at myself and see if he was right?

Anything you generally ask, it's going to set someone off. That's what I'm finding out.
Ally K: That's completely unfair that happened to you. I wouldn't have blamed you if you really did delete your account after that!

Question #7:

how do you not feel jealous & angry that most people have'nt struggled or dont struggle in life like you have?

i see in this forum regularly , people who only have minor problems or harsh times for a short time that makes them feel suicidal or their breaking down because they broke up with a friend etc.

but besides that , their doing ok, other areas of life are healthy and functioning normally.

in my case , ive suffered immense torture throughout life, severe abuse mostly mentally - im 31 and because of the torturous life , ive missed out on all normal things in life : building relationships , being employed , getting qualifications , traveling , living life, everything you can think of..

ive aged prematurly in my face, im nearlly bald have straggly hair a bit ontop and sides more.

lived in a one bedroom apartment for 6 years on disability, still struggling to get the therapy and care that so far, they failed me with.
i have borderline , ocd, ptsd , agoraphobia , rage problems, crippling anxiety, racing thoughts, social problems, severe low self worth.
ive made vast improvements over the years, controlling rage all by myself, been seeking help.....have insight into my issues.

i own nothing in my apartment except an old computer.

im waiting for an operation this month on my ankle , will be in plaster 6 weeks to repair torn ligaments.

i dont have any social support network except my special mother, i have sisters who care but have gone their own way in life , plus they have had ' good lives ' far different from mine...

how can i not grit my teeth tight, in seething anger, resentment, and jealousy at all these happy people that have no where near suffered like i have ?

who have things in life ive never had ? they parade their lives in my face and i feel enraged.

on this forum with their minor hiccup problems...... '' im emo and i cant take it anymore what do i do ?''

well hang on , go through persistent torture, abuse and psychological torment for 16 years like i have.

Question #8:

Does such software programs like Reading Genius and Instant Speed Learning work?

Hello everyone. :)

I was surfing the archives section under Self Improvement and found a link on such software programs Reading Genius and Instant Speedlearning.

See link:

I've always wanted to learn how to speed read and even though my family and friends tell me I read fast enough as it is, I still feel I need some improvement. Plus, I'm interested in improving my learning ability as well. I've heard great things about Reading Genius, but no one has said anything about Instant Speed Learning.

See Instant Speed Learning link here:

I checked it out and I must admit that I am always a little put off by things that promise rapid and instantaneous results. There are tried and true study methods out there, but you really have to embrace the process and put it to work. I don't feel that these things should come rapidly. I think it takes a little bit of time to train your brain, or re-train it, whatever the case may be. So, this Instant Learning software program put me in the skeptical spot.

1. Has anyone here tried the Instant Speed Learning software program with successful results?

I have the same thoughts about Reading Genius too.

See Reading Genius link:

2. Has anyone had successful results with Reading Genius as well?

Question #9:

10 easy points! what do you think my essay?

tell me what you honestly think of my persuasive essay on death penalty... and if there are any improvements i could use. thanks in advance!

In the eighteenth century,England would punish by death for pickpocketing and petty theft. Ever since the 1650's colonist could be put to death for denying the true god or cursing their parents advocates. Capital Punishment have clashed almost continuously in the forum of public opinion in state legislatures and most recently in courts. In 1972,the case of furman vs.Georgia reached the supreme court. The court decided that punishment by death did indeed violate the eighth amendment to containing that "excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishment inflicted." By this decision death sentences all over the country were set aside. The three most common death penalties are the gas chamber, lethal injection, and the electric chair. Capital punishment has become an increasingly controversial issue over many decades. The problem lies between, is the death penalty being accepted in murder cases or ruled out completely. While some people feel that Capital Punishment will not discourage crime, Capital punishment should be legalized in all states, because it is morally just and it will deter crime.
The many opponents of capital punishment who are against it feel that the death penalty is not a deterrent and that it is barbariaertic of the past. It has no place in a civilized society today. One of the biggest arguments against capital punishment is people feel that it violates the eighth amendment which forbids cruel and unusual punishment. People against Capital Punishment believe the death penalty is absurd and is in un-christian practice. Further more, they feel society should not" encourage sentiments of vengenance cater to morbid interest in ritual execution." Criminologists also built a strong case that the threat of death failed to deter murder, anymore effectively than prison. Therefore, to inflict harm to one,it is simply useless.
However, the punishment fits the crime therefore, it is morally just. Capital punishment is an expression of society's moral outrage at offensive conduct. This may be appealing to many but it is essential in an ordered society. It asks our citizens to rely on legal procedures rather than to self-help their wrongs doings. It is morally right to sentence a person to the death penalty who has commited a serious crime as murder. If someone has murdered a person it is unethical to let the murderer live when you have an innocent person who is dead. Capital Punishment has to be based entirely on consideration of justice and morality.
Finally, the death penalty is a deterrent against crimes. Statistics show that the crime rate is reduced in all states that hold the death penalty. The point given to these people is that they are less likely to commit a crime knowing they will receive the ultimate punishment to kill. "No other punishment deters men so effectively from committing crimes as the punishment of death". Still, Capital Punishment is supported by many Americans. They usually rely on deterrence as their main reason to deter people from committing serious crimes. Hopefully Capital Punishment will be legalized in many states to eliminate violence from american life.

Many people feel Capital Punishment will not discourage crime. It promotes murder rather than deter it. A desire for suicide is what leads some murders to their criminal acts. Capital Punishment should remain legalized in all states. The two main reasons are it is morally just and it will deter crime. The way our society is today we need to continue on with the death penalty. It deters other murders and it protects our society from them. Clearly, the usage of the death penalty will force crime to be unacceptable in our world and protect our citizens.
oh come on guys it isnt that much to read is it?

Question #10:

My bearded Dragon is very sick! Help!!?

OK, he is around 6-8 months old and has never been truly "Healthy".
This is because of lack of research on my part and i feel TERRIBLE about it.... Here are the conditions he was in prior to this past weekend.
Lighting- 2 75 watt r zilla bulbs (Realized he was getting sick so we started gut-loading crickets with extra calcium and fed him more greens) this was about 2 months after i got him. Oh and he was around 2 months when i got him
Temperatures- low 75 high 90
Substrate - walnut shell
Diet - a few crickets each day and some lettuce/zucchini/broccoli

After i while he got to where he was twitching and shaking. I looked this up and realized it was do to lack of calcium. (Didn't realize that D3 was needed to digest calcium) so i started to dust crickets more and feed more calcium rich foods. He got better and i took him outside every day. Winter came so i stopped taking him outside because i felt it was too cold for him... he got better and ate more than normal. One day when i woke up he was dragging him self around with all of his legs.. (back included) but didn't lift himself up.. This deeply disturbed me and i immediatly looked it up online. Then i realize my mistake and quickly changed his cage to as follows:

Lighting- 1 r-zilla 8.0 UVB/A 24" light 1 150 watt r-zilla night heating light, and 1 r-zilla 100 watt daytime heating light. (I have 2 Reptisun 10.0's on order as i read they are the best. I'm not sure how good the other 2 lights are but my heat in cage dramaticaly improved
Temperature- basking area 105-110 low 82-85 Night temps low 74 high 83. ( around 14 hours of UVB and bright lights on, then just night heater on)
Substrate- Newspaper (Much easier to clean and i read small dragons eat loose substrate such as wallnut shell-which i hear is the WORST)
Diet- 4-6 Crickets a day and a bowl of collard greens, Turnip greens, and zucchini-which i mist before giving.

At first, there was a Dramatic improvement. More active, alert, hungry, and he seemed to be happier as well! But, last night and today he has been down... worse than before! Last night he didn't eat AT ALL or drink (that i am aware of) i mist and bath him daily to help him go. I forced water through a syringe last night and today because he appeared dehydrated. Now that his basking temps are higher he loves to sit on the log and bask although he cant get up there himself because he can hardly move... but when i set him up there he perks up and acctually lifts his head in the air! which is way better than laying flat and not moving much at all.... anyways i tried to get him to eat greens as well but he wouldn't. Now today a new problem appeared.. now he doesn't seem to want to keep his eyes open. He can because if i poke him or move him he opens them and looks straight at me, but after a few seconds he puts his head back down and closes his eyes. When i bathed him today he filled his whole body with air and got stiff.. which he never did before.. I'm not sure what this means.. i thought they could only puff necks.. Anyways i am trying to find the money to take him to the vet.. I hope he will recover and have a good life because i truly care for him.. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRICIATED!!! PLEASE email me for pics or my phone number if you need to talk to me! i am willing to do ANYTHING!!! ALL HELP WILL BE GREAT!!!

Additional Details

I would like if you problems specifically could be addressed, as i feel his cage, diet, temps, lighting are now ok. I am worried about these things tho

Please answer all of these seperatly so all will be addressed! thanks.
Laziness -

Not wanting to open eyes -

Dragging self around/ not lifting up body-

Mouth WIDE open when basking, not slightly like i see in pictures or described in books/forums.

Could a dragon of his age be undergoing brumation? even if chance is low i am curious...

Also i am worried about why he wont open eyes for more than 4 secs at a time.. this is a reletively new symptom. I have also heard that uvb lights can damage the eye of many reptiles including bearded dragons. I am using a r-zilla 8.0 24" tube bulb that is about 10" away... i have 2 lights over his basking area 1 is a r-zilla incandesent 100 watt bulb that is slightly frosted and the other is a 250 watt bulb that is a deep purple so it produces hardly any light.. all are about... 9"-10" away... the 2 bulbs are above the screen directly over the basking area, the uvb tube is below the screen back away from the basking area. but is still 10" away... (its below the screen because i heard uvb waves are greatly reduced when passed through glass and screens)
Thanks, and continue with your answers!
His temps are at what they should be.
He can't be compacted as he has went to the bathroom 3 times today. I am feeding him collard greens, mustard greens, turnip greens, zucchini, broccoli, and some mixed fruit 2 times a week. If you think i should do more research then please tell me what else i should do that i have not.. im BEGGING for more ideas and do plan to take him to vet and am going to do so tommorow.

Question #11:

Is it appropriate for my husband to lend money to this person?

My husband received an e-mail from a woman who he knows from a self improvement course (similar to Landmark forum). I have met her a couple of times at different events. My husband has met with her for coffee as he was raising financing for a company and she had some leads for him. I think he met her along with the third party. A few weeks ago after they had met, my husband told me an update about her that included her breaking up with her boyfriend, her daughter was temporarily taken away from her by social services because it was suspected her former boyfriend was involved in gangs and they want to make sure she isn't as well. She just asked my husband to lend her $700 for some bills. My husband, when I asked him about it, said that he told her not right now but his e-mail reply said that as soon as he gets some expected cash in, he would help her. I have never suspected anything between him and, as far as I know, my husband is a man of integrity who just wants to help someone in need. Am I being unreasonable to be questioning this situation and thinking that this is somewhat inappropriate? Do you think that this suggests an inappropriate relationship between them or a level of closeness that I wasn't aware of?

Thanks!

Question #12:

If ONE thing about the human body could be redesigned, what would it be?

After a recent discussion on Y:A I have been entertaining the theory that life was designed.

What I want to know is; what about the human body you think has been 'ill designed' and in your opinion could be improved upon. How using current biological understanding could these improvement be made?

BACKGROND
Some common sense views of life point out that it is self-evident that life’s complexity is unlikely to be a product of chance and must be a product of design. This question attempts to investigate whether a designer in such a theory is actually that 'intelligent'.

This is intended as a hypothetical question NOT a discussion about evolution or intelligent design so please reserve those opinions for a suitable forum.
