Clinton may meet with Iranians on Afghanistan (Deseret Morning News)

On the eve of a possible groundbreaking meeting between the U.S. and Iran, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton predicted Monday that Tehran would be propelled by self-interest to work with other world powers on the threats posed by Afghanistan.

Interest in Home Show doesn’t wane despite economy (The New Ulm Journal)

NEW ULM - The 29th annual running of the New Ulm Home & Self Improvement Show now is history, but all the talk about a national recession apparently did not curb people’s desire to see what is knew and different in home improvements. “I would estimate over the three days we had about 5,000 spectators come through. It’s been a very good show.

Weekly Economic Wrap: Mood Improves Again (Gallup)

Gallup’s Consumer Mood Index increased by 10 points last week, bringing its improvement to 35 points over the past three weeks. For the first time since consumers’ mood began moving in a positive direction recently, average daily consumer spending also increased, by $9 last week.

29th Annual Home and Self Improvement Show welcomes vendors and visitors (The New Ulm Journal)

NEW ULM - The 29th Annual Home and Self Improvement Show is welcoming vendors and visitors this weekend at the New Ulm Civic Center. People can see over 200 booths of everything on display - from boats, cars, banking and real estate to personal care items. The show, which began Friday, noon to 8 p.m., is being sponsored by the New Ulm Business and Retail Association (NUBRA).
